Gold Academy Winter 2016-2017 Schedule
|
Developing technical competence is vital for all players. Individual technical proficiency is strongly related to developing a player’s confidence and ability to perform at a high level in practices and games. Receiving a pass with an assured first touch, playing with speed and accuracy and beating an opponent 1v1 are skills enhanced with deep practice. Players will receive hundreds of touches on the ball every session and our coaching team will help individuals to improve their defensive and offensive performances.
T-shirt: Players registering before October 15, 2016 will receive an Academy T-shirt – ensure you complete the ‘uniform size box’ on the registration form. |
Gold Academy Technical Training (2003-04).
Girls’ Gold Academy Technical Training (2003-04) Program Specifics:
Blue/Gold Goalkeeper Academy (2002-06)
Providing specialist goalkeeper coaching is essential for any club serious about player development. It is a unique position on the field with an entirely different subset of skills compared to all other field positions. We will see noticeable improvements in our keepers handling, movement, positioning and hopefully ... goals against! Experienced professional Goalkeeper Coaches follow a progressive curriculum designed to prepare players for games. The Blue Goalkeeper Academy focuses on reinforcing and refining the basic techniques and learn to perform in a game environment. Positioning, shot stopping, resetting after making a save, boxing (punching) and distributing with the feet are all areas of focus.

On a small indoor field (court) players are constantly placed in demanding decision-making situations, requiring quick thinking, good ball control, precise passing, and creative solutions. Futsal favors skillful, creative play above physical contact. This is the perfect environment to develop technique and is proven to dramatically improve player performance and confidence. Ability grouping will be employed to balance teams and coaches assigned after the drawing.
