Can I use my club’s medical release for players participating in the Seaside Classic and must the form be notarized?
You can use either the Seaside Tournament Medical/Liability Waiver found on this Seaside Classic website on the "Players, Coaches, & Refs page. Or you may use your own Club's medical release form as long as the information is correct and up to date. The forms DO NOT need to be notarized. Can I check-in my team In-Person? No all teams must check-in online. Is a player allowed to dual roster i.e. play on two different teams? See Tournament Rules. Dual Rostering is permitted but only under the following conditions: a) players must be included on each team's roster at the time of team registration. b) players can only be dual rostered to a team in an older age division. Dual rostering a player to a team in a younger division or to another team of the same age division is NOT permitted. Teams' rosters shall be frozen at the time of registration. Any team using an ineligible player shall be disqualified from the tournament and forfeit their registration fees. On which fields is my team playing and where are they? Schedules are posted approximately one week before the tournament. Check the schedule link available from the "Information" drop-down menu, then select "Schedule/Results" to find the time and location of your games. You may also check on the GotSoccer app for tournament Seaside Venue info. Games will be played at 3 venue locations for 2023. Ninigret Park in Charlestown, RI, The University of Rhode Island in Kingston, RI, and Tuckertown Park in South Kingstown, RI. In the event of a game change, the tournament organizers will make every attempt to contact the team coach or manager. Re-check your schedule each morning, just in case. Directions for these three venues are posted on this website. Is the Seaside Classic a patch tournament? The Seaside Classic is no longer a patch tournament. How many guest players are allowed on a team? There is no limit to the number of guest players on a team. An 11v11 tournament team can have as many as 22 guest players (within specified roster limits) as long as they are all on an official signed by state registrar roster. HANDWRITTEN names shall be allowed up to 25% of the maximum roster size e.g. for a roster of 22 you may have 6 guests. All guest players must have a current, valid player pass and a completed medical release form. Both of these forms can be found under the Players, Coaches, & Refs page on this site. When will schedules be posted? Schedules are normally posted one week prior to tournament. Do I have to stay at one of your hotels? Yes. In order to participate in the tournament, your team must book lodgings through the tournament hotel manager. Information on lodging can be found on this website. Are there fun activities available outside of soccer in the area? South County offers many activities from water sports to some of the best beaches on the East Coast. There are also many amazing restaurants in and around our area. You can spend a day on Block Island or travel across the bridge to historic Newport and it's famous gilded age mansions.
