Dear Parents, Players, Coaches, and Fans of SCYSC,
We are writing to inform you of the status of spring soccer programs with South County Youth Soccer Club (SCYSC) given the impact the Coronavirus (COVID-19) has had on our community and the precautions we must all take to limit the spread of the virus. At this time, it is our expectations that all spring programming will be postponed and not cancelled.
In order to keep everyone safe, it is important that we continue to follow the recommendations from the CDC, Governor Raimondo, RI Department of Health, and Soccer Rhode Island. Here is a current update of closings/postponements that will drive the beginning of our season:
Therefore, all SCYSC programs including in-person team practices must be postponed until April 15th at the earliest (or the day the Town and/or WWIS opens fields if later). We will continue to monitor the situation and update you with any new developments and/or final decisions.
At this time, the Club is still taking registrations for spring programs and the office is working on completing rosters so that we can all hit the fields running at the first opportunity! We appreciate everyone’s cooperation and support. Please stay safe!
