**Important: Players must attend tryout days for all age groups they are interested in (new age group, and “play up” age groups)**
Only one registration is required for all age groups

Tryout attendance

Players unable to attend the tryout must submit a waiver request via email to the Competitive Director no later than May 11th. Waiver requests must include the reason for not attending the tryout. Players wishing to join a team after tryouts have passed must also contact the Competitive Director.

A waiver must also be submitted for any “play up” tryout sessions that players are unable to attend.

GIRLS NECSL TRYOUTS

For U10 (rising 3rd & 4th grade) and U8 (rising 1st & 2nd grade) girls, we are holding open tryouts for our NECSL Academy team. This team is designed for girls who want to add on more soccer games and winter training on top of their own town program. ALL southern RI towns welcome. Tryouts will be held at Tuckertown Park. Check-in Procedures

Players should wear:

Shin guards
Cleats

Players should bring:

Soccer ball
Water

Please arrive 15 minutes early to check in. Parents are strongly encouraged to drop their children off following check-in and return 10 minutes prior to the planned end of the tryout. The purpose of this is to lessen athlete stress, maximize fun, and encourage players to think for themselves and make decisions on and off the ball without any outside pressure.

Team formation timelines

Following tryouts, the Competitive Director will work with the Technical Director and prospective coaches to solidify rosters. While this process is complex, our goal is to send out offers within two weeks. The Competitive Director will keep families informed of the status and timelines throughout.
