Coaches, Parents and Players,
Due to mosquito-borne illness being found all around us and recommendations from the Rhode Island Department of Health:
Avoid outdoor activities during dawn and dusk. Mosquitoes are most active at this time. If one must be outside at dawn or dusk, wear an insect repellant with no more than 30 percent DEET. Wear long-sleeve shirts and long pants when possible to avoid exposing skin to mosquitoes.
Please plan to end practices no later than 30 minutes prior to sunset. Sunset is currently around 6:45, so practices should be ending no later than 6:15. If one finds during practice that there are alot of mosquitos around, plan to practice at a different time. Alternatively find a place to practice during the day on Saturday or Sunday when mosquitoes are less active.
Please be prudent!
