ELECTIONS

BOARD OF DIRECTORS

SOUTH COUNTY YOUTH SOCCER CLUB (SCYSC)

Elections will be held during the SCYSC's Annual General Meeting which will be held on January 21^st 2010 at 7:00 PM in the auditorium at Ballentine Hall, URI Main Campus for the following South County Youth Soccer Club Board of Directors (BOD) positions:

–         President---remainder of current term (one-year position)

–         Vice President

–         Director of Finance and Treasury

–         Director of Recreational Programs

–         Director of Fund Raising

–         Director of Facilities

–         Director of Referees

–         Director of Communications

“An Annual General Meeting of the general membership shall be held in January of each year.  Nominations may be made from the floor.  Nominees must be seconded and give their consent.  Officers and Board members shall be elected by secret ballot (simple majority) and shall assume office immediately.”  (SCYSC Constitution)

Three constitutional changes will also be voted on:

1.       Changes in the timing of officers' elections

2.   Changes to the procedures regarding BOD nominations made

      from the floor.

3.   Changes to the succession of presidential and vice-presidential authority
