U12 Boys - State Champs & Advance to Regionals!

Our South County Blaze U12 Boys team won the Rhode Island State Cup by defeating Bruno United Premier 4-0 in the Finals on 5/18/08. This event is part of the prestigious U.S. Youth Soccer National Championship Series, and this South County team will now be representing Rhode Island at the Region One tournament in Portland, ME later this summer.

Head coach Rich Pepe stated “This team has worked hard, played real well, and they never let up… these boys deserve to go to the Regionals!” The Blaze team has compiled an impressive 8v8 record of 34-3-3 over the past 2 years with recent accomplishments being a Finalist in the Glastonbury, CT Premier tournament, undefeated Fall SuperLiga Champions, Semifinalist at the annual Nashua, NH World Cup tournament, and the 2007 U12 RI Cup Classic Gold Champions.
